Training Courses - Advanced Cardiac Life Support
The quickest and easiest way to earn your ACLS Certification! Our courses are fast and easy and designed to accommodate your busy schedule.
ACLS is designed for healthcare professionals who either direct or participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest and other cardiovascular emergencies. This includes personnel in emergency response, emergency medicine, intensive care and critical care units. The new 2010 ACLS algorithm has been simplified and streamlined to emphasize the importance of high‐quality CPR (including compressions of adequate rate and depth, allowing complete chest recoil after each compression, minimizing interruptions in chest compressions and avoiding excessive ventilation) and the fact that ACLS actions should be organized around uninterrupted periods of CPR.
Train at Your Own Pace
Unlike a classroom course, you have the opportunity to train for the ACLS certification at your own pace on your own schedule. There is no requirement for any classroom meetings or assignments. You have an unlimited amount of time to access our training materials in preparation for the exam (50 questions) and Megacode.
Part One is the CD‐based cognitive component that allows users to work through the ACLS training curriculum at their own pace, on the computer of their choice. Upon completion of Part One, the student arranges a mutually convenient time with PPM’s ACLS instructor to take Part Two at our office in Forest Hill.
Part Two is the very important skills verification process which can only be performed by an American Heart Association instructor trained in ACLS. It includes demonstration of skills competency in all learning stations and passing the CPR and AED skills test, bag valve mask ventilation skills test, the Megacode test and a written test.
Upon successful completion of all the above, the student receives an AHA ACLS course completion card valid for two years.
