Program Description

Having personnel on-site that are trained in the use of Automated External Defibrillation (AED) provides the victim with rapid defibrillation access before EMS arrival, greatly increasing the chance of survival. Training includes recognition of unresponsive victims, review of equipment operation and maintenance, discussion of treatment and valuable hands-on practice to increase skill. Automated External Defibrillation (AED) Student Handbook - Covers public access to AED's and simple instructions for lay-person's use of AED's. This handbook provides educational pictorials and illustrations. The handbook is included in class and a card will be issued the day of the class.
